About this role
We are looking for a technically strong and customer-oriented Managed Services Engineer to join our team and support the daily operations in a telecom environment.
This is a customer-facing technical role, so we are looking for someone with strong communication skills, solid troubleshooting capabilities, and a proactive attitude toward learning and problem solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support the day-to-day operations of telecom positioning systems in a live production environment
- Monitor system health, investigate alarms, and troubleshoot service-related issues
- Perform technical analysis, fault isolation, and problem resolution across application, OS, infrastructure, database, and hardware layers
- Support system administration and operational tasks on Linux-based platforms
- Support systems deployed on private cloud platforms and virtualized infrastructure
- Work closely with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure service stability and timely issue resolution
- Participate in maintenance activities, upgrades, patching, backup/restore, and operational readiness tasks
- Prepare operational reports, incident updates, and technical documentation
- Follow support procedures, escalation processes, and service management practices
- Required Skills and Experience
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a customer-facing role
- Very good analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in technical support, operations, or managed services environments
- Good Linux administration skills, especially with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Good practical experience with deployment and operations on private cloud platforms
- Experience with enterprise-grade server hardware such as HPE, Dell, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus
- Good understanding of relational and non-relational databases
- Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra
- Ability to perform system checks, log analysis, basic performance analysis, and fault investigation
- Willingness to learn and expand technical knowledge in new areas
- Ability to work in a structured operational environment and follow established processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in telecom environments or with telecom systems
- Previous experience in managed services or support of mission-critical production systems
- Experience with private cloud platforms, with Nutanix experience considered a strong advantage
- Understanding of virtualization, storage, networking, and server infrastructure concepts
- Experience with incident handling, problem management, and operational reporting
- Familiarity with monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and SLA-driven support models
- Experience working with multi-vendor environments and coordinating with external suppliers
- Basic scripting knowledge in Bash or Python would be an advantage
